Life is too short to have boring parties!! And we at Nakshathra designz bring you some cool inspirations to turn on the flip side. Yo 🤘

Hello peeps,

Manasa Priya from Upcycled here,  back again with a quick set up to brighten your party tables, because a little party never killed nobody 😋

Here I have used the newly launched Pink Paisley decoupage paper from Nakshathra designz to revamp my flower vase and coasters for the next pink cocktail Diwali party .The Paisley's are evergreen and I love how they are paired with roses,  lace and such an adorable shade of pink and gold tones.

The coordinating papers are just awesome..  Here I paired the lace and paisley printed one for the vase and the simple peach design for my coasters.

I hope you liked what I created . Do let me know your thoughts in  the comments section below.

Desk Caddy - DT Manasa Priya - ft. Mandala Decoupage papers

Hello Hello there,

This is for all the Wonder Women out there..  😅 Yes!!  You..  Who always wonder where your brushes are gone?  Wonder where your scissors are?  Or wonder where your sharpie is?

Well,  I got a solution for you and me..  😇..  The often sabotaged DESK CADDY

Here is some quick inspiration on how you can turn and revamp a simple desk caddy into something very vintage and Indian and something that serves your purpose just right.

I used the blue 🔵 from Mandala Decoupage paper pack from Nakshathra designz..  There is so much depth in these papers..  The design is so beautiful with mandalas and beautiful pop of colors. These papers are just perfect for any project..  I am sure these papers are going to be on more than one project of mine 😊

So,  I have gessoed , and painted the inside with turquoise.  Decoupaged the cut paper on the larger sides.  Stenciled some mandalas onto the smaller side and distressed on the top with coordinating colors.  It was just that simple!

I hope you liked what I created . Do let me know your thoughts in  the comments section below.

Rustic number wall art - DT Manasa Priya (Paris Love)

Hello Crafties 🙋,

Manasa Priya here from Upcycled 🙂 back again at Nakshathra Designz blog with a contemporary wall decor this time.

I created this wall decor using Nakshathra designs Paris Love decoupage papers.  The prints of this pack are so pretty with  everything Italian.. From roses to Eiffel tower to bicycles over a cream  distressed background..  A perfect blend for the lovey-dovey kind of projects ☺

This contemporary wall decor is made for a friend's house to adorn their walls..  I wanted to highlight the couple's birthdays (9 & 9) with their favorite colors of rusty red and pallettey green.

Hence for this project I wanted to break the cream background with green and blend it in.

Did some fussy cutting and decoupaged the elements onto each board and highlighted the numbers with some texture and gave it a grungy effect.

I hope you liked what I created . Do let me know your thoughts in  the comments section below.

Festive decor using Ethnic Papers by DT Manasa Priya

Hello Craft lovers,

I am Manasa Priya from Upcycled 🙂

Today I am here at Nakshathra Designz blog with a little bit of INDIA ( that's right !! ) , the land of colourful, Vibrant and magnificent designs.

Nakshathra designs has newly launched their festive collection  " Ethnic Decoupage Papers " with some fun pop of colors and designs which are so perfect for this season. They can be so easily imbibed in any of your projects.

So here is a fun Dangler I have created as a wall decor to get the festive mood on !!

I had these MDF boards and bird cutouts from an old project that I wanted to recycle.

I chose Turquoise, pink, orange and yellow prints for this project. Measured the circles and cut approximately half an inch extra over the circumference.

Now decoupage the precut papers over the circular bases. Once dry apply an extra cost of decoupage glue all over again to keep it intact.

Sand the edges to rip off the extra paper . This gives a perfect finish over the edges. Apply some more decoupage glue over the edges to ensure everything is sealed properly.

For the bird to stand out I choose dark color for the body, added some mica flakes over the wing to add some spark

Embellished the edges with some half pearls and wooden beads and also added some beads and rhinestone tassles at the end.

Make sure you varnish the project at least 2-3 times once everything is dry .

And voila , my simple and vibrant festive wall decor is ready !! :)

I hope you enjoyed watching what I created . Do let me know your thoughts in  the comments section below.

' The Everyday ' Tray & Coasters Set by DT Manasa Priya

WEDNESDAY !!
It's almost , sorta, kinda, dose to, just , about , nearly close to WEEKEND. :D

So let's cheers up and call it a "Wow it's Wednesday " , shall we ? ;)

Hello Craft lovers,

I am Manasa Priya from Upcycled :)

Today I am here at Nakshathra Designz blog with an easy and useful piece of work,  'The Everyday' tray and coasters set. This was kept simple keeping in mind the kind of usage.

I created this using Nakshathra designs Buddha decoupage papers.  The prints of this pack are so versatile with a turquoise background,  Buddha,  mandalas and lotuses..  Which is a very unique pattern.  I instantly feel Peace just by looking at the papers 😉

So for this project I chose a blue-green pallette to blend with the papers.  Cut the designs that I wanted to go over the tray base and the outer corners.

Then I took the tray and coasters..  Gessoed all over and applied some home decor wax at the places where I wanted to distress.

Once dry,  using a sponge dauber tapped blues and greens all over the portions where I wouldn't use the decoupage paper.  Then sanded over the places where I applied wax..  To distress and give it an old wood look.

Once I was happy with the color blending and distressing..  I decoupaged the base and sides of the tray and one side of the coasters and finished off by varnish the whole thing at least thrice to seal and waterproof it.

And that's it , my simple and the everyday tray and coasters are ready !! :)

I hope you liked what I created . Do let me know your thoughts in  the comments section below.
