T-light candle holders - By Priyanka Srivastava

Hello people,

We all are waddling in bleak times of social distancing and self-quarantine, all due to pandemic Coronavirus causing COVID -19. These are some dark times when fear, panic and hopelessness find themselves right at home in our hearts. It becomes pretty boring day in and day out with nothing much to do than sitting at home.
Being constructive and creative is the only way we can kill the boredom. So I decided to make a pair of lovely t-light candle holder, a symbol to lighten up the dark times with creativity, using Nakshatra Designz decoupage papers.
I have used Nakshatra Designz Dream catcher decoupage paper. It's a pair of lovely designs of dream catchers on a background of combination of my favourite colours black, green and blue.
I have covered all the sides of the raw mdf candle holder with decoupage paper using Mod Podge and making sure that no air bubbles are left while applying the paper. After it dried, I have given another coat of Mod Podge over the sides to seal the entire design nicely. Then I painted the underside base of the holders with black chalk paint.
After the paint dried, I covered the top surface of the holders with Peal turquoise colour to give it a light sheen and to go with the colours on the decoupage design. I then painted the slot for the t-light with black chalk paint again. It gave the perfect contrast to the turquoise colour and brought the entire piece together.
Here are some more pictures with close look.
One more picture of the pair together along with the t-lights.
Aren't they a perfect use of creativity and can shoo away the darkness of these days? Use this lovely paper to make a similar project or any other art project to engage your mind and time and to have a small sense of achievement.
Do check out other designs of Nakshathra Designz Decoupage Papers too!
Cheers!
