Decoupage clock - by DT Priyanka Srivastava

Wishing all of you a blessed Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu, Lohri! Wish you all very happy times of festivities! 
Today I have brought a project which is poject which uses Birdie Melange Decoupage papers from Nakshathra Designz! It is a set of 2 lovely designs with rare black swans.

I have used the one with a pair of swans on an mdf clock base to make a lovely wall clock which can be put in the bedroom of newlyweds or couples. According to Feng Shui, the use of objects or subjects in pair is the ultimate symbol of marriage. A pair of swans symbolizes marital fidelity and bliss. While choosing such a painting or figurine of pair of swans for bedroom of a couple, display of water should be avoided, and this particular design of Nakhshtra Designz decoupage paper is perfect for that purpose! 

I have distressed the clock edges with contrasting maroonish red chalk paint to bring out the design of the decoupage paper. I have then used stencil to paint clock numbers on it. 

Use this lovely paper to make a similar decoupaged clock or any other art project to invite swan luck into your love life. it will be really cool to be given as a wedding/anniversary gift to a couple as well!
