Altered metal canister: DT post by Richa Sharma

Hi Friends, I am yet back again with an interesting project made using Newly launched Nakshathra Designz decoupage papers .
I have altered one metal canister using this interesting decoupage paper by Nakshathra Designz
I have primed the base with a metal primer and then applied gesso over it .
Then I measured the area where I wanted to use the paper. Then using scissors I trimmed the paper as per my requirement
I pasted the paper with the decoupage glue. Then I distressed the edges using brown archival ink .
Then I painted the sides with the matching shade of the paint. And gave it a distressed look .

I took a wooden frame , painted it with the brown paint, distressed it .
I took one picture of the girl and trimmed it as per the size of the frame . Using some other embellishments I pasted everything on the decoupage paper using the glue.

Using metallic waxes Over the embellishmentsments, I highlighted them and gave an antique finish to my project.
Using stencils , I made a pattern on the sides of the canister.
I the. Gave a coat of decoupage glue over the paper and after it dried up, finished my project with a layer of varnish .

Hope you liked the tutorial and project.
